Equipment...

The majority of dental technicians prefer to use a combination of both hand and electric tools. There is a common misconception that electric equipment is dangerous. This is incorrect and usually refers to to older; out dated 'tungsten carbide blades' where as the newer models use a diamond grit.
Think of the tungsten carbide as being like a cheese grater over the diamond being light sand paper, the difference being that the diamond will not cut or irritate soft tissue making it extremely safe and comfortable for the horse.
Since switching to the diamond system not only has the standard of work amongst professionals increased, but the general rate of horses requiring sedation has fallen (personally) to less than one for every hundred and fifty horses, half the amount compared to hand floating, a great saving to the client.
This is a small selection of some of the more frequently used pieces, i typically carry nearly 80 items, by keeping up to date with advances i can provide the best care for your horse.
