At this moment William, as well as practicing dentistry is currently employed at Hartpury College in conjunction with the University of the West of England. He is there once a week as practical lecturer on their Equine Dental Science course. This means he teaches the students once a week on how to rasp teeth, and in the class room lectures the more advanced practical theory.

“I have found teaching very enlightening, it constantly causes me to question and modify my own techniques, as well as to keep learning, as it can be easy to forget about the theory side of the job once you’ve qualified and got the bit of paper.”

As a BAEDT member, it is required that you take a number of C.P.D. courses, be it just a day with another dentist or a selection of their excellent training days. It is essential that as a professional you stay up to date with techniques, procedures and ideas that in a relatively young industry are ever changing.
